in secretary clinton's case it's on the right side of the head the right side here. i will so you the left side for the sake of demonstration here. if i remove the hemisphere of the brain, you can see where the veins are. see the blue area right in there, that's the area that is draining blood away from the brain and one of the veins in this area is where that clot actually has occurred. most likely due to a combination of the head trauma she what few weeks ago and in addition to the fact she is had a problem with blood clots in the past dating back to 1998. we are hearing from her doctors who says she is on blood thinners and is is awake and talking and most importantly there's no evidence of stroke or neurological damage. my guess is they will continue to monitor her for another couple days in the hospital and probably get another scan at some point to make sure that clot is dissolved as result of the blood thinner medications. as we get more details we will bring them to you. back to you for now. >> clinton was scheduled to return to work this week after a stomach
